Valenzuela-Obando Meycauayan Area Drainage System

The Valenzuela-Obando Meycauayan Area Drainage System project aims to mitigate damaged caused by floods in the area through drainage improvement works and flood control. The P3.076B-worth project will be funded by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation 2nd YCP, and implemented by DPWH. The project involves the provision of structural and non-structural facilities in affected areas of Malabon, Navotas, and the towns of Obando and Meycauayan in Bulacan. The Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) assigned to the project is the Central Office BAC. Bidding and other procurement proceedings will be closely watched by the BBCHD and the MBC. At this stage of the project, a call for an update on the project status (whether procurement and/or implementation stage) is needed. If it is already at the procurement stage, we will request that observers be invited from the implementing agency and development partners.

UPDATE:

(4 March 2008) Based on information from Dir. Antonio Molano, Bureau of Research and Standards (DPWH):

Proposal not yet submitted to NEDA.
