C5 NLEX and SLEX Link
The DPWH is spearheading the C5 NLEX and SLEX Link project, which involves the construction of a 300-meter flyover. The flyover will be located along C5 and Commonwealth Avenue, thus connecting Tandang Sora Avenue with Luzon Avenue. The flyover will accommodate both northbound and southbound traffic. An investment requirement of P20.16B was reported in the CIIP 2006. The locally-funded project has an Approved budget of P2,334,000,000, which was allocated for Segment 8.1, (spanning Mindanao Avenue until NLEX), as well as An additional P2,200,000,000. TAN (BL) was the CSO assigned to carefully watch bidding and other procurement proceedings. At this stage of the project, a report on the findings from CSO observers is needed.

(3 December 2008) According to the Pro-Performance System (PPS) report as of October 31, 2008:
ROWA and bidding for Segment 8.1 (Mindanao Avenue to NLEx) is ongoing.
(12 August 2008) According to a Sun Star Manila news article:
- According to Engr. Reynaldo Rosario, Asst. Planning Chief of the DPWH-NCR, they have started working and developing the comprehensive design on the proposed construction of the flyover that will link NLEX and SLEX.
- The bidding process of the project would start when the QC Govt has cleared the road right of way (RROW).
(4 March 2008) Based on information from Dir. Antonio Molano, Bureau of Research and Standards (DPWH):
- For Mindanao Ave. -NLEX, Negotiation on RROW is on-going. For C5-SLEX, 62.30% already accomplished.
- Civil Works includes ROW.
